MAJESTIC

Majestic is a Dutch DJ and selector whose roots run deep into the underground. Based in Amersfoort, Netherlands, he began producing in 1994 and hit the decks in 1999 — spending over two decades carving out a reputation as one of the Netherlands' most dedicated voices in Drum & Bass and Raggajungle.

His journey led him through Hardcoregabber, UK Garage, Hip-Hop, Bubbelin' and Hardstyle before returning full circle to his first love. In his sets, he strives to lead the audience on the dance floor with an eclectic mix of genres such as Jungle and Drum & Bass with a fusion of Bass Music, Juke, Chicago Footwork, Rave, Dutch Tekno and Gabber — weaving a thread that connects the underground's past to its relentless present.

His sets are dense, fast and unpredictable: built on heavy layering, double drops and a relentless pace that refuses to let the dancefloor breathe until it absolutely has to. From vinyl and CDs through digital timecode to his current Pioneer CDJ and Denon Prime Go setup, Majestic's technical evolution has always been in service of one thing — live performance energy that can't be replicated on a playlist.

A long-standing resident of Bass in Ya Face since 2009 — one of the Netherlands' premier jungle and DnB events — and a resident of Junglism in Utrecht, Majestic has built his legacy venue by venue: Landbouwbelang Maastricht, Melkweg Amsterdam, Willemeen Arnhem, FLUOR Amersfoort, OT301 Amsterdam, OCCII Amsterdam, Poppodium Volt Sittard, WORM Rotterdam, Global Gathering UK, Ruhr-in-Love Germany, and beyond.

Alongside fellow selector Bong-Selecta, Majestic has operated in a unique format: Bong-Selecta as the Selecta — calling and cueing the tracks — while Majestic takes on the role of Operator, mixing them in live on the decks. This rare tag-team dynamic, blending the art of selection with live mixing craft, has been a staple of the Bass In Ya Face nights and beyond, cementing a partnership built on trust, telepathy and years of shared dancefloor history. Together they have played more than 9 documented shows across the Netherlands and Belgium.

With over 200+ performances across two decades — from intimate underground venues to international festivals — not all of Majestic's history is captured online, but the underground remembers.
