MAJESTIC

Majestic is a Dutch DJ and selector whose roots run deep into the underground. Based in Amersfoort, Netherlands, he began producing in 1994 and hit the decks in 1999 — spending over two decades carving out a reputation as one of the Netherlands' most dedicated voices in Drum & Bass and Raggajungle.

His journey led him through Hardcoregabber, UK Garage, Hip-Hop, Bubbelin' and Hardstyle before returning full circle to his first love — the raw, bass-heavy energy of Jungle and DnB, now blended with Tekno and Juke. The breadth of that experience shows. His sets are dense, fast and unpredictable: built on heavy layering, double drops and a relentless pace that refuses to let the dancefloor breathe until it absolutely has to.

From vinyl and CDs through digital timecode to his current Denon Prime Go and Pioneer CDJ setup, Majestic's technical evolution has always been in service of one thing — live performance energy that can't be replicated on a playlist.

In his sets, he strives to lead the audience on the dance floor with an eclectic mix of genres such as Jungle and Drum & Bass with a fusion of Bass Music, Juke, Chicago Footwork, Rave, Dutch Tekno and Gabber — weaving a thread that connects the underground's past to its relentless present.

Alongside fellow selector Bong-Selecta, Majestic has performed in a unique Selecta/Operator format — Bong-Selecta calling and cueing tracks while Majestic mixes them live on the decks. This rare partnership has been a staple of the Bass In Ya Face nights across the Netherlands and Belgium.

A long-standing resident of Bass in Ya Face since 2009 — one of the Netherlands' premier jungle and DnB events — and a key figure in the Junglism movement, Majestic has built his legacy venue by venue: from Landbouwbelang in Maastricht to Melkweg Amsterdam, Willemeen Arnhem, FLUOR Amersfoort, Kabul á GoGo Utrecht and beyond.
